Going Postal: Responding to Canada’s Most Artistic Postal Code is a unique fundraising project that will take place at A1C Gallery, beginning on May 16th and culminating in a gala reception/auction on June 6th, starting at 8pm. Artists participating in the exhibition have submitted a single work that in some way considers the geographic, social, political or architectural nature of downtown St John’s. The postal district of A1C is considered to have the most artists per capita any district in Canada , and we see the exhibition as an opportunity to examine and explore the cultural landscape where many local artists live, work and present their work.
All work will be presented in the A1C exhibition space beginning May 16th, and remain on display until June 6th, and will be available for sale through silent auction on the night of the gala.
